        Off means AUTOMATA writes narratives the way it always has, at no cost. On means the scores AUTOMATA has already worked out are sent away to be phrased, and the sentences come back. Your student's name is never sent. Roughly 15 cents a report.

        Leave this empty to start. If Test says your key belongs to your whole account rather than one workspace, open the console, go to Settings then Workspaces, open the workspace you want billed, and copy the ID from the address bar. Paste it here and press Test again.

        The list comes from the service itself once a key is saved, so it is always current. Anything marked balanced is a sensible default. You can change this whenever you like, and each service remembers its own choice.

        Student files are kept in AUTOMATA’s encrypted vault. Its key is locked to this computer’s login (the Mac keychain, or your Windows login). The recovery code is kept there too: open the Keychain Access app and search for “AUTOMATA Data Vault”. If this computer is ever rebuilt, type that code here.
